Curado 301E spool into 301H? Curado help

Post by FeatherRivGuy »

I’m new to the forums hopefully this is the correct area to ask?..
Can I put a Curado 300E/301E spool in a 301H “J type” reel?
Here’s the deal, I want to buy a 301H for salmon
Jigging but would want to also add a spool with brakes to the reel so I can also use it to throw swimbaits also. I can’t find a lot of info on the Japanese Curados. If someone knows a place with more info on them please let me know. Or if someone here knows about the H series I’d like to ask a few more questions. Thanks.

I would advise avoid the H as an option as parts are nearly impossible to source. I would suggest looking at the newly released Tranx 200 or the Tranx 300. Both bullet proof and would serve you well at what your attempting do. Dan

Thanks, I bought a TranX 301A And love it!
I collect reels and rods when I’m not fishing.
The H will be a project for fun and hopefully works out to be a caster if I can find out if it will take a spool with brakes.

Hey Dan, I just checked out your site and would like to send some reels your way. I don’t think I have enough post to PM yet but am able to receive them reply back. Can you send me a PM when you get a chance. I’d like to service a 301E. Thanks.
