Faber (spoiler alert)

Post by vinnybass »

Faber got beat quick. I didn't think I see this anytime soon. Wha' happened to the boy? Walked right into the KO. After Pulver I thought he'd be unbeatable for a while. Well, that's MMA for ya'.

I agree, that elbow looked like showboating and he got caught.

Youthful Overconfidence.....

Post by Bob Simard »

That elbow was dumb..... left him Wide Open and that was a perfectly timed counter right on the button.

He's young though - he'll be back a smarter, better fighter.
Dude's a machine.

Yup. He should have a great career if he reigns himself in. I agree he got ahead of himself with that elbow. Maybe a little cocky & it cost him. He'll be back though, he's a bad little dude.

That fight just won me a $125 bucks.
I knew that was going to happen because Faber is to wild and I knew Matt Brown would stand his ground on those wild moves and catch him!!! Besides I don't think Faber has ever fought anyone as strong or stronger than him.
I am a Faber fan though so it kinda sucks...

Faber showed no respect towards Brown walking around with his guard down in the 1st. He deserved what he got. The guy is good but is far from acting like a champ. Go sit down and eat your pie

bring on Lesnar and Couture! I've never been so stoked on a heavyweight fight.

I have to disagree with you bro. Faber is a champion and will be again. It's not a respect thing, it's just the way he fights. Being unpredictable is how he fights. But true true, he should have not thrown the elbow and he knows it. This will make him hungry and fight even harder now.

Now if you want to talk about NO respect and talk about the worst champion ever to wear a belt, I would have to say Paulo Filho is the worst champion I have ever seen! The guy should have been stripped of his belt!!!! NOT making weight and then not even trying to fight for three rounds? That was the worst showing of sportsmanship as a so called champ! A "Champion" not making weight by over five pounds? Give me a break........ glad I didn't have to buy a ticket to watch that!

I always thought this was his style because he has never really been challenged before (aside from Griffin)I could be wrong. I cannot disagree with the guys talent and REALLY would have liked to have seen this fight go into deeper rounds. The rematch could be the WEC's biggest fight to date. Question is when is he gonna join the UFC and fight Griffin again or SHERK!

I agree with you on this guy. There should be a huge fine for not making weight!
