My first swim bait rod??

Post by DeltaBassBuster »

Can a 8'6" MH (2 PC) salmon rod work as a beginner swim bait rod? Currently I've been throwing a 7" Zoom Super Fluke w/ a jig head as a swim bait for now. I haven't decided to buy a real swim bait yet, or decide on which one to buy for the delta. Lunker Punkers have caught my eye lately especially for stripers. Since salmon fishing temporarily has been banned I wanted to find another use for this rod.

Guess you could use it, if your looking for a good swimbait rod at good $$$ look into the diawa big bait special cant go wrong for 69.00 and I throw punkers with it all the time and BBZ so it will handle the big baits
