fishing on an inflatable boat

Post by Jamie Lezchuk »

Hello everyone. My name is Jamie and I live in SummerLake, Oakley.
New to the area and So far, I've only been on a few trips with my new Inflatable and love it, but I could use a little help with the amount of gear I need, so, I am seeking help with organizational issues.

12.5 ft Bris Inflatable with 20 hp outboard.
Fishing Solo

My problem is that I never have enough of certain things and too much of others.

If I'm fishing the sloughs, Dutch, Taylor, and up through Big Break, how much gear is too much?
All my reels are spin casters
3 rods

Perhaps there is a website or book that contains all the answers, but I am unable to locate them.
I need a checklist

Thank you for any interest

You really don’t need much for a day fishing
What to bring will be by season and what you like to use
Right now you could take 2 different color senkos
And a frog rod. Switch the frog up with a spook or poppin R. For areas with less vegetation
If things get real tough be ready to tie up a drop shot.
You can fit all the tackle in a box half the size of a shoe box.

I would get a bait caster. Flipping I find to be a big deal. I would us a Med-heavey. I'm not sure want you are comfortable with techniques. I would add one or two new ones a year.
