A lot of people headed to Folsom Lake for this hot holiday weekend, but they were limited to what they could do there because of low water levels from a lack of wet weather.
Families came prepared for the heat with swimsuits, hats and canopies. However, not everyone was prepared for just how low the water has gotten.
"This is my third or fourth time, and it never was that low," said Tomas Jimenez.
Jimenez said he drove 2.5 hours from Hayward to get to Folsom Lake State Park, only to find the lake calm with no boats in sight.
