Ok, this may be a dumb question, but I have been using Humminbird fishfinders for several years. I was thinking of moving to a HDS5. I was about to make the purchase when I noticed someone is selling Lowrance GPS attennas. I had mad the assumption that the GPS antenna would be transferable from one unit to the other.
Does Lowrance use a different connector for their antennas that other manufacturers?

Re: GPS antennas
The HDS units have built in GPS antennas. The older units needed external antennas and there is a new external that is an upgrade for the HDS units but it's not necessary, it just improves performance.
