Grass Burner

Post by micropterus »

What’s a good bait similar to a Grass Burner? I wanted to get one for my Delta trip but only store that has them is TW which has well Documented order fulfillment issues. I have a Whopper Plopper already.

I would probably just throw a buzz bait since it's more weedless. Arbogast also makes the Buzz Plug. Norman used to make a bait called the weed walker that was similar.

If you don't have one already Bobby's Perfect Buzzfrog with a stinger hook is a great bait for this style of fishing. The best part is that you can kill it and it floats you can thrown it right up onto the top of the grass and it doesn't get snagged and you can find them at Fisherman's Warehouse

Yeah I actually placed an order with TW about a week ago. I cancelled it when I read in the confirmation which said it wouldn’t be shipped for three weeks. TW must have got a large quantity in stock because they’re selling Grass Burners $5.00 off regular price. Anybody’s guess what’s going on with them maybe pandemic related or possibly the bean counters convinced management that order processing and warehouse duties can be handled by one employee. Delayed shipping in this day and age is inexcusable!

I found one on EBay and had it in my hands two days later.
