No Grass in Franks

I fished in Franks yesterday and I did not see 1 stem of live grass. Does anyone know what happened? I used my DI for 400 yds off the south side and found no grass. The north side has nothing but dead clumps. We had several of temps at 30 degrees or lower this Winter, but I would not expect that to kill 100% of the grass. Does anyone know what happened?
