While placing your tags, it is also a good time to check on your docked boat. Check for theft, vandalism, and maintenance issues. Speaking of dock....Where is your boat registered? Your residence? If you have a boat docked in San Joaquin County, please make sure the SITUS (contact DMV for more info)address shows where the boat is docked. This really assists our boating unit in an investigation. All too often boats are docked in our county and registered in other counties. This makes it quite difficult to contact the owner.
