hds gen three water temp

please help. I've seen this posted before and unable to find the fix. I can reset my units to default and the water temp shows up. after a few trips I loose it again. im assuming after I alter the settings. any way to reset the water temp to show back up on the graph? thanks wb for all the help. hds 9 and 12 gen 3

Your digital water temp is part of Edit Overlay Data. If it is not working, delete it and replace it again on the screen you want it on. Configure the water temp to make it what you want it to look like. Now go to Networking under Settings, choose Sonar and go to Water Temp. Change the Scope from Global to Local. Global means the head unit will use all temp devices in the boat to find the water temp, Local means the head unit will only use the devices that are plugged into the head unit for data.
