Holland Tract?
Holland Tract?
How's the bass in Holland Tract? I didn't realize I only live 7 miles away now. Is it usually productive in there? Not looking to steal anyones exact spots, but I just wanna know if a good number of bass live there.

Re: Holland Tract?
yes there are fish around holland tract. i have a houseboat docked there, and have fished all the surroundings with a ton of success.
Re: Holland Tract?
Actually, Holland Tract is a farming island and is private property. There are though, two BIG ponds in there that are loaded with bass, but public access is not allowed unless ya know the owners.
As Tracker mentions, the Holland Tract is surrounded by water on all sides., You have Sandmound Slough to the west and Franks to the North, Holland Cut/Old River to the east and Rock Slough along the south end. All these areas can provide ecellent bass fishing at some point in time through out the year!

Soooooo.........what time of year have YOU been most successful in Holland Tract Cooch????
Re: Holland Tract?
I never actually fish "in Holland Tract", yet I indeed fish all the areas mentioned above year round. It's just like anywhere else here actually, at different times of the year, specific patterns work better than others. I think a guy could spend his entire day in sight of that island, at any time of the year, and catch fish. That island is surrounded by just about every form of cover and potential patterns, that you'll find on this river system. It's a great area to focus on for the novice Delta angler. I started in this area, I've always fished these areas myself, Ive guided this area and I live here now.duckhuntr07 wrote:Soooooo.........what time of year have YOU been most successful in Holland Tract Cooch????

Re: Holland Tract?
I personally think the area gets stripped of it's population due to tournaments being held in other areas...If they held tournaments out of there regularly and dumped 2-4 thousand bass a month during the spring, summer, and fall, you'd have have the greatest Delta slough around...
Then I could take the kayak out and have my own little fishery right off Delta Rd. and not have to pay $10 to launch...Kind of like the way the Break use to get stacked when tourneys went out of there...When you take and don't put back, there are just fewer fish overtime...

Ok... you guys have lost me. What area is Cooch and everyone else talking about?
Holland Slough? Holland Tract is closed off on private property? Who? What? Huh?
Are you guys talking about that whole chain of sloughs in general? Or of one area in Holland tract/ slough?

Re: Holland Tract?
Holland Tract is an enclosed plot of land like Bethel Island Or Jersey Island..Holland Cut is the water on one side of the tract..There are several others also..At one time Franks Tract was also pretty much dry land, but the levies were breached, but the name remains..

Re: Holland Tract?
I was mainly speaking of Rock Slough that goes all the way back past the bridge...
Re: Holland Tract?
That's what I thought. Thanks.
Re: Holland Tract?

I was wondering about that area that the road follows. Mostly from shore, I don't feel safe going out on the water by myself.
Re: Holland Tract?
That is indeed Rock Slough FROG, and it does have very good bass fishing there, even from the bank!
Re: Holland Tract?
Thanks Cooch! I need to fish the Delta more often. I only have been a handful of times, never on a bass boat though.
Hopefully I get this job at the Delta Outdoors that is opening so I can afford a trip with you!

Hey Frog, are you in a kayak? I'm in a tube and would be glad to fish with you out there sometime. I've fished there a lot in the past, but not recently. PM me if you're interested. tight lines.
