Looks Great!!! i got a question:

When attaching a stinger hook, i insert one hook into the belly of the lure exposing two hooks only. Does this in any way effect the lure when retrieving to swimming true and upright?

as with most swimbaits set up like this, it can. It depends on the size of the hook and how straight you insert the hook. If its straight you should be good.

I dont think you need to rig them that way because they are small but, if you insist I would probably try a heavy 4

I've been fishing Matt's Original and Ultimate soft BG baits for years and have caught several quality fish with them using them many different ways. When he said he was coming out with an improved version I was sceptical. I now have both the flat tail and boot tail versions and they are both awesome baits. I have to agree, he improved them in virtually every way. Due to the larger profile I will continue to throw 5 inch versions, but these U2's are just short of amazing.

Matt,
How long does it take you to paint each lure, and how many steps does it take?
Most people have no idea what kind of work, and time, is involved in making your lures.

Depending on the color patern there are as many as 12 steps per side. I have no idea how long it takes per each bait becuase I do a batch at a time. I do have it down though and I can paint pretty fast when I get into a grove.
"fast" of course is relative. My fast is probably slow to other painters.
