NO KIDDING !!

Mike- Another VERY cool thing -- if you are able, free and willing....

Get in contact with the President of the Delta Teen Team (Angelo) to see if you can share your experience of this past tourney with them all this next April 10th < 1900 @ Oakley Roundtable... 2and Tuesday of the month) -- Along with everyone else that participated in that tourney that wishes to share well !!

The Teen's would eat up your stories and tips like a a bear with honey !!

I can print out some photo's, serve you some doubble pepparoni pizza and the refills of soft drinks are on me !!

You know, we always called each other goodfellas. Like, you'd say to somebody: "You're gonna like this guy; he's all right. He's a goodfella. He's one of us." You understand? We were goodfellas, wiseguys.

I knew this was coming, and the reason I haven’t written anything is because I really don’t have anything nice to say about days 1 and 3, but I will talk about day 2.

On day 2 I drew Rusty Salewske from San Deigo, this was only his second time on the Delta. I got into the boat and he said that he didn’t have a great pre fish and only had 9 pounds on the first day. He said that he heard a lot of good things about me and if we didn’t get on anything on his first couple of spots, we could go fish some of my stuff, if I wanted. I said sure. Off we go. We hit 3 or 4 of his spots and he catches one short fish, I don’t get bit. @ 9:00am he asks if I want to go hit some of my stuff? I said that I only got to pre-fish 2 days and didn’t find much, but we could go hit some of my tournament water and see how it goes.

After a 15 minute run we stop on a spot where I usually get some good limit fish, but not too many big ones. I catch 4 right away. All about 2-2 ½ pounds then things die down. I said lets go, I have another little spot where I can gat a swim bait fish sometimes, and if we get bit it is usually between 5 and 7 pounds and you can also drops shot some fish there. He says he would drop shot to try to get a limit. So I pick up a 6â€

Great story Mike.

I'd really like to see you on the pointy end of the boat next year! Or even the Stren series!

You know enough to be dangerous!!!

Just go for it.

Hey Mike,

Now thats a pro, didn't have anything going and took his locals advice and fished some of your water! Some on here would have let you and him die on the "pros" water. HA..

way to go bud!

Congratulations Mike on the 5th place finish, and the big fish! I can't wait to get back on the water again. This sh*thole is wearing on me, and hearing and reading about Northern California bass fishing is about all that gets me by over here. Thanks for sharing your story.

Andy, anything I can do to help you guys past time over there! We really appreciate what you are doing over there for us to have the freedom to do what we love. When you get back, hit me up, I’d love to take you out for a day on the water.
