any IBM Thinkpad users?

I have a problem with my IBM thinkpad.
On the keyboard it has smaller #'s next to some letters, U has a 5 , O has a 6 and a few others.
Problem being that when I type one of those keys the number comes up not the letter.
I can not figure out how to shift it back.

Any ideas?

Sounds like your function key is locked. Hit the Fn key on your keyboard and try it again. Not a ThinkPad user but I have dealt with them before.

Hold down the shift key and hit the number lock key on the upper right side of the key board
