FBL RESULTS FROM OROVILLE ON SUNDAY.....

Postby Scott Shambre » Tue Oct 16, 2007 5:52 pm

Sunday dawned a great day for the 17 teams that came out to our second event on Lake Oroville.

Coming in first place was the team of John Whitery and Brett Sheppard with 9.36 lbs. For first place they earned an $800 payday on a tough Oroville bite.

Second place went to Mr. Ultimate Bass, Kent brown and Dan Langston from Hydrate2O with 9.12 lbs. These guys had the second big fish of the event, a 2.38 lb. Spotted Bass. Second place earned them $450 plus another $100 for the second big fish and these guys took home $550 on the day.

Third place was brought in by Kelly Owens and Mike Chaddick with 8.82 lbs. They also had the big fish of the day, a 2.44 lb. Spotted Bass. Second placed paid them $250 plus another $220 for the big fish, for a $470 payday.

Forth place earned John McKa and John Leue a check for $150 for their 8.76 lb. bag of Oroville Bass.

Kelly Engleton and Tony Holt took home a pair of Wilson Trophy company plaques for their 5th place finish with 7.92 lbs.

I would once again like to thank Dan Langston from Hydrate2O for supplying all of our anglers with bottles of Hydrate2O water during check-in, I hope it helped you guys hydrate to catch those fish later in the day.

I again thank those teams that came out on what turned out to be a beautiful October day on Lake Oroville. I announced it during weigh-in and pending permit approval I am scheduling another Oroville date for Sunday, November 18th out of the Spillway ramp. This may be moved over to the Bidwell low water ramp if the water on Oroville continues to drop. I hope to see everyone out there next month.

It was good to see you out there and next time take Kent in your Ranger and you will win the "hole" thing.

Don't think so there Scotty! You see my little buddy John was the boat out in front of me and come to find out later we were heading to the same spot.....well Dan and I were the first ones there and caught several of the fish we weighed off of it.......

Don't worry though I might have my new boat there in November and I will take you for a ride!!!!
