Most underratted swimbaits

Post by Ray B »

I posted this on SBN also
Ok we all know about Hudds, Matt gills, Triple Trouts, Armagedons, Slammers etc...

Now that we have about a million baits to choose from it seems there are about a dozen baits that everybody has and loves. We already know about those. My question is what baits should be more famous. What are the most underrated swimbaits you use.

For me I am a huge Hudd and Matt fan and since all Hudd baits are famous I thing the most underrated bait is the Mattlures 6' trout. That little bait just plain gets bit and it looks and swims better than anything even remotely close to its price range. My number 2 underrated bait would have to be original smaller Osprey. I think its 7in. The SR7 was better than the Osprey but they dont make them anymore and the Baby E sinks too fast. The Osprey would roll if you fished them anything faster than a crawl but so what, thats how your supossed to fish them.

What are your guys most underratted baits? Come on guys give em up.

The osprey 7" still catches fish

Price; 6" & 7 1/2" LA Slider, in trout color. Versatile; 3/4 oz (mod)Scrounger jig w/6" trout color sluggo type trailer (it's not a common swimbait), fish these year around. My best day for numbers over 10 lbs came on the Scrounger.
