Rod Socks

Post by RichThiel »

What brand or company puts out a decent rod sock. Search'in the internet I've found them to run from $3.99 to locally here at $14.00. There's one out there that run at 7-8 dollar's that I saw but can't found it.

Help would be appreciated, Thank you in advance.

www.berserkbaits.com , go to products. These rod sleeves have a protective tip also. Besides the website you can get these through the Bait Barn, Escalon Bait & Tackle, or just go through the website. Around $12

Since when have you become so dainty about your rods. Or is it that you dont want your clients to see how beat up they are with bent guides and wornout grips until you get them out on the water?    :D

You can order these over the net or email them. I have some, they are made of high quality materials plus they have a rod tip savers which sure has helped me save my rods. Check out their rod bags and tackle bags too.

OK Cranky (Jim Conlow), New Powell Rods, Shimano Reels, etc. And gave some of the rods including Loomis Rods to my son.

I hear your still using a Montgomery Wards "Heddon 2 piece 5 1/2ft rod" with a Phluger "Supreme" with Cat Cut. I found the "antique" Rod in a 1948 MW Catologe Book. Whats it worth now?

P.s Thanks guys, I order six from TW to try out.

Rich,

Please check out the rod socks by Put a Sock on It. Joann Martinez manufactures them in Concord. The rod socks come in many lengths and colors. The socks are made of 600 denier nylon with an elastic strap. Joann also makes lure protectors out of the same material.

You can check out my display of Put a Sock on It products at many tournaments and other special events. My next tournament display will probably be the WON Bass tournament at Lake Berryessa on January 6th.

Stick Jackets, they're like Chinese finger-cuffs, slide on instantly and pull off instantly. They come in a bunch of colors and hooks come out easily. I've used them for 3 years to protect my Kistler Heliums and wouldn't use anything else (tried rod socks, what a joke!) Tackle Warehouse has them on sale right now: www.tacklewarehouse.com
