California lakes Spinnerbait tactics

Post by grey1173 »

Howdy,

As a non-boater for years, I 've seen many pros cast nickel blades and white skirts. Mostly double willow combos. I would like to know if other anglers basically seen or experienced the same resaults. Also, please just anglers that fish lakes like Shasta, Pine Flat, Millerton, Mcclure, Folsom and other similar lakes. No offense towards DELTA Rats. I just don't fish the delta at all. I'm interested in wieghts and favorite blades combintaions and finally skirt colors. I make my own spinnerbaits, I just want to make sure that my ideas are in the ball park. Thanks.

Revenge!

I get my revenge on for lake spinnerbaiting. The bait is well balanced will flutter fall perfectly when casting out toward rocks. My typical sizes are 3/4oz and 1/2oz, my favorite color is the PMS and white chartruse.

I second the Revenge spinners, however I do fish the delta mostly so I buy the gold revenge blades separately and switch em up. But for the lakes, the color combos are perfect right outta the package. Just apply the basic rules of thumb to pick the right one. Water clarity, depth and forage.

I have always liked the VPR little big men models. 3/8 to 1/2 weights w/ translucent skirts. My favorite blade combo is chrome willowleaf with a small gold colorado.

blade runner 3/8, 5/8, or 1 oz. spinnerbaits. They have a color for just about any condition.

here is the web site. www.bladerunnertackle.com

and they also make killer delta spinner baits

BladeRunner blades are my pick as well, especially the 5/8 and 1 oz. models. They are awesome!
