I have recently added a temp sensor to the unit since it has a shot thu hull tansducer on it without temp. After installing this it works fine, but lately my GPS signal has been getting lost. I have to turn off the unit and turn it back on. Anyone know what might be causing this? All the connects are secure and tight. Any help?
Thanks

Mine did that too. Then it got worse and would go out after a few minutes. I had to send it in to Lowrance and they "fixed" it for $200+. It works good again. They told me there was a problem with the internal hard drive. There are trouble shooting guidelines to folloow for this unit as well as software upgrades at their web site. Good Luck.

On lowrances website I found my unit is out to date by a bit. I'm on 1.6.0 and the current is 1.9.0. I first updated the LGC-2000 like it says and that went smoothly. Now when I try and do the Unit itself it doesn't auto install like the instructions say. I have the unit off, I place the MMC/SD card in the unit and then power on. It takes longer to power on than normal with the sd card in. When I have my navionics card in it powers normal. Am I doing something wrong? Please help!!

Re: Lowrance LMS 332
My first question is that you say the first part of the update went smoothly - does that mean you were able to download the update onto your memory card, or did you actually get it into the Lowrance unit? My guess is that you were able to download the udate but are unable to upload it into your Lowrance unit. I have to dig into my archives here but my recollection is that the Lowrance units will not read a data card bigger than 512 megs - might even be as small as 128 megabytes. I'll guess you are using a 1 Gig card or bigger???

Thanks man, You hit it right on the nose. I have a gig sd card and it would read it once its in the unit, but not on power up. I used a 256mb and it worked fine. Thanks
