H-M-M-M, There's GOT to be a story here... Not sure what happened but Dude - you've got to know that at least of this event there is no awarding of a NumbNut award at the Pro-Teen!

'Course that just might be something that needs to be discussed for next year!

Hey Dan, is this where people jump Gilligan's Island? I've always wanted to do that in a bass boat......I guess I'll stick to jumping waves instead.....LOL.....By the way, that beach used to hold some good fish before they killed all of the weeds off it!!!!!!!!!!

I told sTony that there should be a carryover exception for this sort of thing, that ash should hit Clear Lake with a clear lead in the Numb Nut voting.

What do these 4 things have in common? -> a sleeping bag, the dark, reverse, an ankle.

wasn't sure what all the commotion was next to my tent during the night, but as sTony said "better not see any limping around outta him next week". but he did sack up and fish the next morning

Ok First of All -thanks for asking how the leg is  Going to the Dr's today to find out if there is any perm damage. I am going to be really hot on the deal if there is cause I am fired up for the Clear Lake Rally.

Secondly, why would I get the Numbnut nomination for someone else running me over in my sleep? sTony - kept asking "what were you doing there?" Well Tony it was a campground Dude I was SLEEPING! I don't need any pre-nominations that is the ONE trophy I have won at the Rally and I don't need a head start going into it.

For those of you that weren't there, I was peacefully sleeping in the Campgrounds when at One o'clock in the AM I was awoken to the sounds of a Ford Power Stroke Diesel over my head and its tires rolling up on top of my leg

Image

I was in shock and shocked that I could walk on it, but as noted I sacked the F-up and went out the next day to fish with my teen.

I will defiantly say this, This years event is one that I will never forget, and the next time I go camping I am going to pour the contents of a glow stick all over meself. [/img]

You know I thought mad would have been my first reaction, but the truth is I felt relieved and lucky that I could walk, fish and wasn't splat. Stuff happens, and it turns out when your in shock its hard to be mad....at least it was for me it was more like Fear and Loathing in the Delta then anything else.

PS the people that work at Russo's were very helpful and I do appreciate them.

The guy wasn't affiliated with the event, just some Schmoe out with his family WAKEBOARDING for the weekend.

What I gotta draw you a picture.... I was on my side sleeping and typically when you curl up onyour side one leg is longer then the other, so my other leg was up further then the when driven over. Actually I have the only visable contusion from this deal on my right ankle where he probably grazed me.

And Johnny - trust me that night I thought of every other place that would have left me looking like rod pizza, thats why I said I gots lucky.

I thought you were joking that morning when I asked how you were doing and you said you felt like you got run over by a truck. I didn't think you were serious!!! My brain didn't kick in even when people started talking about the guy that run over at the pro teen.

Wasn't until you told me after the BBQ that I finally got it that it was you done got run over. And by that time you weren't even limping anymore. I figure if you can take a truck running you down your a better man then I, let alone get up and fish the day with the gimpy leg and that trolling motor. I can't imagine.

So hopefully you picked up on a few things about camping out in the dark under a dark tree in a dark lot in the dark grass in just your sleeping bag. Folks might not see you. :o

Seriously, glad you're feeling ok and I'm lookin' forward to making the nomination for the pre-rally numb nut award that we're giving away effective this year. Just funnin' ya brotha.

First we had to worry about wake boarders on the water.

Now we got to stay away from em on land too.

Next time ya might want to sleep in a TREE.

Except ya got to watch out for deranged beavers !!!!

Good to hear it turned out OK for ya !!!

Wow! Glad to hear there appears to be no permanent damage! Damned Wakeborders.....

sTony has a good point though - sleeping bag, "open area", dark night = NumbNut!!!! 8)
