Lucky Craft BDS 3 CB

Post by ash »

Ok I cracked my favorite crank bait, that I found on a tulle out on the Delta a year ago (thank you to however didnt take the time to get it off) it is the Lucky Craft BDS CB 3. My question is the CB has no internal rattles. Does Lucky Craft make a BDS that has a good knock rattle (that resembles the bomber)

Check with Specialty Tackle. They have a Zenith "Big Bite" I believe they call it. It's similar, weighs a ton (real good in the wind) and has a nice knock too it.

Thanks guys - not knocking the lucky craft (no pun intended) but if it they had one with that solid KNOCK that the bomber puts out well damn that would be a good day

Try the Jackall MC/60 SR. It is an awsome bait with similar action as the B.D.S. 3 but with a good rattle.

Hey, I think the Lucky Craft DB3 was the "secret" bait that my friends have been using in the Delta!!! That's what we'll be looking for at Sportsman's Warehouse tonight before the FPT seminar.

I think the lack of rattles is partly what makes them work so well. Ever since Bill Lewis invented the Rat-L-Trap years ago I figure about every other bass in the Delta has been caught & released on rattling lures, and has learned not to bite them.

To avoid causing distress, I will not post a photo of mine again  Besides I found something more interesting last weekend.

Thanks Opti - I wasnt looking for rattles just that one hard thump or knock rattle like the bomber - I think that dull thunck in the bomber is what sets it apart.

I appreciate all who replied and PM me on this bait and alternatives. Oh and that list of baits - of course those would never work, that is why every where is sold out of em

I actually had a new lure out on the deck this past weekend, hadn't even fished it yet - forgot to put it up and it blew off when I jumped the boat on plane. I turned around to go back and get it - just in tme to see a striper hit it and disappear. I said, Hmmm.... 8)

Nice. I wiped the pegs clean at a shop I go to. They were all threes but most of this year I was fishing fours. I already had a decent stash of fours before the National Guard was televised. They must just be coming back in stock because the guys in my club are still begging me to give some up.........LOL
