That is pretty cool! I would definately get one. Then I wouldnt have to worry about anything getting wet or cats sleepin on my boat cover. All I would have to do is put a few coats a wax on that and the cats would jump on it and slide off faster then a bullet!!

they might want to add a heater to help dry it out so all the moisture from the rain wouldn't get trapped in and cause a stink, mold and what not.

I think its a great idea but I think its to tall, they need to shave a foot or so off the height, I think it looks kind of goofy but if you shaved it down it would look cool and very funtional.

Ranger is always thinking outside the box and that's why I have one:)

I think shaving the height would not work if you wanted to go to the front of your boat to work on something, but it would be nicer a bit more aerodynamic so the gas mileage would not be hurt too bad. Otherwise it's cool, and the break-in deterrent/ stolen property savings over time would be worth it alone.

All I need to get into the money would be the four I usually get along with a 20# kicker.

Then your boat cover would be more sea worthy than your boat! :D

Wow... the only question now is how can I get one? Even without sponsorships having something like this for storage and security would be a huge selling point.

From the article:

How do you launch or load? At the ramp, just lift the shell and back into the lake, and when you park you can secure the lid or leave it up. When you load up, lift the shell fully, back in and drive on the trailer.

I have a feeling that it would be part of the actual trailer. Seems like sort of a clam shell for the boat.

You could put a lightweight canvas/tent material around the inside of the lid, or something removeable that could snap in to enclose the deck of the boat. One could sleep up front or on the back deck. It would be a simple add on... Of course there would be a need to secure it to the trailer in case of wind etc... It can be done..

All you would really need is a Bouldering Crash Bad and you could easily sleep on the front deck.
