Ones that are sharp! Not a big fan of the feather but hey to each his own. they work. Those EWG gami treble hooks are by far the best for keeping topwater fish on the hook. If you wish to do the trial and error portion yourself you'll see. good luck.

I put red Gammi EWG hooks on mine. Some with feathers, some without. You need to experiment to see what works.

Gotta luv the gammi EWG's. As far as the feather I love em on the stick baits like spooks and sammys cause to me it orients the fish to strike the head of the bait. It could just be me but I seem to have alot more fish on the front hook with a feather and more on the back hook without.

I like the owner stinger hooks. I put one red hook in the front then the regulars in the back. I think they target that red hook and you get better hook ups.
If I'm losing fish with that hook I switch out to the EWG trebles and sometimes that makes a difference.
I only use feathers on my poppers.

Gammy ROUND BEND. Lil different than everyone on this thread but that's what works for me. The round bends are stronger than the EWG's but that shouldn't matter with a topwater and a loose drag. I've played with the red hooks but haven't seen a difference. I just keep it simple with the regular round bends and change them often.

Round Bends (+1)

I suggest that you upsize the size of the hook as well (as long as the action of the bait is maintained.

e.g. on my baits, I will swap out for a size 4 hook, when it originally came with a size 6.

Stronger hooks and better hook-ups, why not?!

what you can do as well is say, on a topwater with three sz 4 trebles, just use 2 sz 2 trebles on front and back and leave the middle out (hint: Reaction Innovations Vixen) works great!
