Top Nut Question

Post by stickbait »

Over the years, more so the last few years.... I have lost track of all the "topnuts" we have had .. does anyone have a list and how many...
Last I heard Coochie had 2...

Like to see how many are showing up for the winter rally?

I was at the second Nut Case on a cold and foggy day out of Orwood and Bob Santora won that one. He may have won another. And I'm sure Angel Valdez won at least one (the summer one out of Big Break for sure).

That's about all my battered brain can remember right about now. Hopefully more will come in and fill in some of the blanks.

I'd still like to see a fun tourney restricted to "Popiel's Pocket Fisherman" only!

Somebody won one of them from the backseat. Was it Chris Hughes?
We had one at New Melones; I remember because I won my Kistler dropshot rod at that one. I think Joe Bruce won it, but I'm not sure. I fished the morning with Dan Mathisen and the afternoon with Joe and I remember Joe sticking a couple of 5 pounders.

It was Chris Hughes. He told me that story a few times last year and still brought a huge smile to his face, and mine

While we on the subject, why isn't showing the reining Top Nut, etc..., under our names? I kind of understand the post count thing, but haven't understood this.

Is this list just for Summer events?

Well, the current TopNut is not a poster on here. The current BigNut (me) already has site admin under his name, the current numbnut I believe has his moniker and the current oddnut does as well.

Angel won the Rally @ The Delta and Mark won the first Clear Lake Rally. I don't remember them each winning two but y'all know how poorly my brain function is at times.

I added some missing data on the other rally thread.

Tony's list has a few extra Cuccia's on it.

Cooch has 4 I think and we'll be even againat at the next one in January.

Look's like the beat Cuccia fund now has my $5.00 in it. He's lucky I can't rig the draw to put him with Seaters again.

That list is accurate! It is 6 fer me, 3 Delta and 3 lakes, I'll recall the specifics of that 3rd Delta to help jostle yer memory! That or go dig out the plaques, cause I knew this day would come and saved every one of those! HAR! HAR! HAR!

I have Nutcase Classic x Top Nut and Big Nut. (Delta May 27 2001)

Cooch did not fish that one because he went to see his mom.

He did win the next one on the Delta outta Del's or River's end Marina.
