ESPN's First year Classic

Post by Dom »

I just watched the day one classic coverage and I gotta say it SUCKED! Seems like the first year ESPN took over there was way more on the water coverage.

I am tired of seeing and hearing Mark Zona's Voice! Very dissapointed in the on water coverage and the weigh-in sucked as well

I really hope the Tournament coverage thru out the year is way better.

However the race for the championship looks to be a good one Martens has a chance as well as Casey Ashley and Skeet but what Happened to KVD? I guess we are all intitled to a bad T now thats out of the way watch out.

Hey Dom,

Did ya change your mind yet about the coverage?

Dont get any better than Skeet and Ike trading punches to the very end.

I totally agree...ESPN's coverage sucked!! Way too much of the guys sitting at their outdoor set complaining about the wind in their face and too little actual fishing coverage. And the weigh-in seemed to last about one minute. Great for Skeet but poor for the viewer.

When they show the coverage on next week Classic show, you will see plenty of on the water footage. I thought the same day coverage was pretty darn good given the challenges it presents.

I personallly wopuld of like to see more of the weigh in, with the boats coming in to the arena and stuff. They only had about 7 min. of the weigh in.

I did like the day 3 coverage and who can complain about the winner ? Skeet brought it home for the west coast, However I wish there was more coverage on-the water I kept seeing the leaderboard change and would have liked to see the fish caught that made the change.

I understand times are tough sponsors are hard to come by heck look at Nascar alot of changes due to the economy there. (Matt was fast but Gordon got one good run on him then lost his grip! but we will take second  )
