My son is expressing an interest in hunting, as an offshoot of our Fishing and camping interests. I've been Turkey Hunting once a long time ago and have basic firearms knowledge. So basically I'm starting from scratch.

If I were to pursue this I would ultimately go on a guided trip to learn, but what else could I do to pursue this.

DFG puts out excellent hunting guides for turkey and other game. You can get them by mail or DFG offices.

Good luck and way to go getting your son into hunting.
