What a good move. Just as I said in the past, combination is the future. I hope Teams and in the future Pro-Ams take a look and it can work.

I think this is awesome for tournamet fishing. Gets rid of a circuit. That's a plus. Should build numbers. All divisions fish at least 3 bodies of water, still think Future Pro does it better with 5-6-7 (not sure) different bodies of water. This makes you a better fisherman. I believe these quote "Amatuers" would beat the piss out of a bunch of so called pro's that now camp only on home water. The whole team formats are screwed up. Oroville guys ONLY want to fish Oroville, Delta same, Clear Lake same and so on. Don't give me the gas is expensive crap either. Team fishing is stagnant and the fishermen spoiled. What ever happened to the fun of fishing different water and having to try and figure them out. It's really fun and you GROW as an angler. KUDOS to the two Rookie circuits. You are making better fishermen out of your anglers not to mention drawing far more numbers. Traveling 2 day TEAM events start in 2 weeks, who has the guts to travel?????
Re: Angler’s Choice Tournament Trails Acquires 100% Bass WRL
For those wanting to fish the rookie league from the front of the boat and Anglers Choice Pro/Ams from the back, the Delta/Wine region has a conflict with the AC Pro/Ams on July 24th with the Pro/Am at the Delta and the USAC WRL at Clear Lake.
I'm sure there are many who would congratulate the WRL if they find a way to make an adjustment.

I also agree that this is a good move and will benefit amateur anglers and fishing tournaments. It should build better numbers and increase the skills of semi pro's. I am waiting to see the complete rules in regards to eligibility, traveling division, and fee's/reward... If there are no big surprises I will fish the first event at McClure 11-7 which I have not fished for several years.
I believe if semi pro event's eligibility is kept at $3000 team/solo this would create a farm system for pro teams. I also would like to see a few less pro team circuits which would increase the numbers and bring a few more pro's out because risk/cost to reward would be better. With blend of upcoming semi pro's, new pro's and those who have won many times would benefit team fishing immensely which has always been the true farm/support system for Pro-Am, Opens and higher division events.

I'm not so happy with the changes. I was hoping to fish the AC Delta series this coming year. I dont have the money or the time to travel to 3 or 4 different lakes now.

(5) Five Delta events - I wonder what the (2) two Wildcard events will be for? I am also guessing TOC is going to be at the Delta.

They where suppose to post the changes and new rules on the AC website today but I still dont see anything.
Re: Angler’s Choice Tournament Trails Acquires 100% Bass WRL
A new website is coming shortly, Looks like another region is being added, but it's not the delta. You will be able to see it all late this week or early next week on the entirely new site.

Re: Angler’s Choice Tournament Trails Acquires 100% Bass WRL
Let me start by thanking Bob Kornhauser for creating 100% Bass and the contributions he has made to bass fishing. I have fished the WRL for the last couple years and I am very excited about the upcoming changes. I think this is going to be great for young anglers who are looking for a way to take their fishing to another level as well as those that enjoy competetive fishing. My biggest selling point to the new WRL is Randy Pringle and his staff. Randy and his wife Sheri are always available to answer any questions and along with his staff run an efficient tournament. It is a credit to Angler's Choice that they have made him a tournament director.

Re: Angler’s Choice Tournament Trails Acquires 100% Bass WRL
I am very interested in fishing the Motherlode region however, the first tournament is on the same day and the Future Pro Tour TOC. If I make the TOC I would obviously choose that event first. I would not fish any other AC events if I missed the first one. Not sure why they would schedule in on that day. Oversight???
