Re: Flu shot side effect
I'd put money that it was not caused by the Flu Shot. Coincidental I bet.

Greg,
That was a very interesting link. Based on the reading, It seems more hereditary than coincidental. However, I would not want to risk that "1 in a Million" chance that was quoted in the interview.
I received a "regular" flu shot back in the early 90's and one day later, I ended up in the hospital expelling from intake and exhaust! It took me 3 days before I could leave the bathroom. I swore I would never get another flu shot again. Not a coincidence for me.
Here's some more information related to all of this "swine-hype". Any flu virus a human gets (isn't it amazing how the virus topic keeps "popping up" no matter what I post?) immediately attacks and depletes the body's supply of vitamin C, which is the body's primary firewall to maintain a strong immune system. With the immune system down, it's open season for the flu to run it's course. I have been taking Ester-C for about 4 years now and have been fortunate enough not to have gotten the flu during that time. Ester-C is a stronger form of regular "C", in that it contains anti-oxidants and provides 24-hour immune system protection. A bit pricey, but worth every penny.

I take it too, but I'll get a flu shot.

Re: Flu shot side effect
I have gotten a flu shot every year for 20 years except for one year. That year I got the flu and will never miss another flu vaccine again?
