Crankin rod for the Delta?

Post by Jason P »

I'm looking at buying a crankin rod for the delta, mostly throwing baits like speed traps. What do you guys recommend? trying to keep it around $200 or less

Thanks,

I would go with the Dobyns 705CB GLASS. Or for 30 more dollars more you could get the 705CB. Which ever one feels better to you. Hope this helps.

The loomis cbr 847 for topwaters and ripbaits or the new tacklewarehouse exclusive powell 705 glass for traps and cranks. Both these rods are for stud crankers!!!

Dobyns 685CB or 705CB which ever feels more comfortable for you. It has the back bone to rip those shallow diving baits out of the grass, yet enough give to prevent riping those hooks out of the fish! I hope this helps!

Dobyn's 704cb glass is awesome. The areas where your using a deep diver or expect to hang up more a 705cb is awesome too.

Shimano Crucial CRC-C72MH $170

one of my favorite rods, throws the traps great with a perfect tip especially for the Delta. IM9 blank. Shimano has the best warranty in the industry, check out the Shimano forum here on the site for more info.
