Is there a way to include a photo in to a post without it being on a webpage?
Thanks.

Here is a short and sweet answer
No.
If you want to add personal pictures to your post sign up with a freebie picture hosting site. Lots of them on the net to choose from..
photobucket.com, webshots, and shutterfly are a few.
Here is an article to help your decision.

If you want to show a photo from another Web site, then right-click on the image and select Properties. Copy the URL into the post.
Happy posting!

My photo is HUGE in preview
What size should the photo be to not mess things up? My "Preview" shows the image as HUGE.
Thanks.

Try something in the range of ...
640x 480 pixels. Some of the image editing applications will scale it down by using a "save to web" option.
No need to upload a 3-4 MB image file. Some of the readers are still on dial up (shuttering.....)

Re: Including a Pic
If you want in include a photo on the forum, first upload it to the photos section of this website by clicking the "Submit Photo" link
http://www.westernbass.com/scalifornia/photos/
You can upload a photo from your computer there. Once you've added it there it will give you a small line of code so you can include it on the forum.
Your photo should be under 250 KB before you upload it.
