I'm sure you thought of it already, but check the local (from North Cty down to SD) pawn shops. I'd call them up and ask.

The thieving coward will most likely stay away from CL, or ebay or online. Too many eyes.

SD Fish boards, np classifieds, tackle/bait stores...

Where were they stolen from? (car, boar, pkg lot....)
What time of day? When did you notice?

Just trying to keep the WOM going - I would seriously consider deadly force for such an offense. They will turn up somewhere - I mean, who is going to buy that gear? A fisherman.

So to the fisherman that is going to certainly benefit from said mother lode deal, man up and do the right thing.

And save that jackoffs info so we can all keelhaul his *** in Hodgee.

Gary is the man!!! Actually his company, Richard, Miranda are by far beyond the competition. I fish for San Jose State and when all companies couldn't come through. Gary came through for us without even thinking about it. I lent rods to the team for FLW COLLEGE NATIONALS, the airlines broke all our rods and I told Gary about it and lets jsut say, everything worked out, Also I want to add that Dobyns has the fastest shipping ever. I have been waiting on a response via email with loomis cause I had a rod that I broke and warrantied and that damn rod snapped two days later on a 2#er. Its been a week and no response. I am now 100% DOBYNS. San Jose State University is Proud to represent Dobyn's Rods.

In terms of your rods, I will keep a look out on them. Are there any specific markings on these rods?

Thanks for the kind words guys. I never really thought about it. It just seemed like the right thing to do. I've been ripped off too. It really goes beyond the money to replace.

As far as The San Jose State deal, same thing. I had an airline bust my rod tube, so i could relate and these guys had to go fishing. I really appreciate the kind words though. Glad to help when i can.

Hopefully this thread ends with the equipment returned and somebody in jail. Not likely though in today's world.
