Motorguide Help

Post by clubchiman »

I have a MG 109 and I came home and the blade was just spinning. I checked to see if something was pressing the switch on the peddle but not luck. The peddle switch clicks but does not stop the motor from turning. I then tried to moved the top lever switch and clicked to all three positions and this did not stop the motor. Does anyone know what is wrong with my trolling motor? I also flipped the breaker to reset it but still not luck.

And the second part is does anyone know a repair place near Stockton, CA... that can fix it quick and not break my bank. Thank you.

Clubchiman, your trolling motor, is it digital or analog? Most of the time when it runs, you could have a shorted diode or water in the motor. If your motor is analog, you will have to convert it to digital (expensive)  . They do not make analog part any more.

You can take it to the Hook Line and Sinker in Oakley, or Sunny's Electric in Sacramento.
