Totally weird CU-201 Batam Curados

Live and die for Shimano reels.. Simply the best IMO.

Something weird happen to me in a mater of two weeks apart.
While using my Curado the reel felt liked it just collapse in my hand while retrieving.
the opposite side of the handle just came off in my hand..
Notice what appeared to be broken plastic and springs up and out of the reel.
Reel number one.. And not even two weeks later of procrastinating of when to send the reel in for repair.
I had another Curado CU-201 reel broke while just being in the boat?? Really weird..

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Send the reels in so we can take care of them. I am having a hard time picturing what happened to the reel. Do you have any images of the reel that came apart?

Hope this helps.. Got two of these broken reels that have the same problem..??

The plastic on both seem too have broke..
Other wise I would place back together.. no good

Any help?

I have never seen one break like that. You need new VBS hubs and maybe a turn key. You can either send the reels in for repair, or you can give us a call at 877-577-0600 to order the parts.
