HDS-10 screen brightness (light) issue

Post by Brian D. »

seem that my hds-10 screen illumination fades (goes darker) and is unreadable after being on for an hour. It happens in warm and cold weather. Light setting is at maximum (10). After I restart the unit, the issue goes away for another hour or two.
Got any idea what is the cause?
Thanks

Make sure you have the current update in your unit which is 3.5. Go to www.lowrance.com to download it if needed.

I had the same issue with my hds10. Lowrance ended up having me ship my unit back and they sent me a new one.

Since the screen still gets dim even after the update, you will need to call Lowrance's customer service and more than likely send the unit back for repair.

The Customer Service phone number is 1-800-324-1356. They are on the phones from 8:15 am to 4:45 pm Central Standard Time, Monday through Fridays except Holidays.

Howard, Please call customer service and get a return authorization and send the unit back, get the new one and I'm certain you will be pleased as you learn to use all the features these things have and how much they help you find and catch fish.
