Thats a good Hvy crankin rod for baits such as the dd22. super light!

Ok let me no if theres anythng else people have thrown wit this rod i heard some punch it to.

It might be a llittle light for punchin, especially if you're punchin in the delta. If you're looking for an abu garcia punchin rod try the Verdict 7'6" heavy, but if you want to spend a little less try the Vendetta 7'6" heavy.
The Veritas line only has one rod that is heavy and it is only a 7 footer. The Veritas 7'6" Med/Heavy would be a good open water frog rod.
