Who's Fishing The YAMAMOTO Tournament

Post by JustFishn »

Haven't seen much on here about the tournament. I fished the Berkley Tournament last year and had a blast. And now its all Yamamoto which I think should make it even better. Anyone else planning on fishing the event?

It is an individual event Terry, although you can have multiple players in yer boat, as long as they too are entered in the event. Come on down Friday 5-3, to the Hook, we'll have a bunch of activities, Gene's got specials and ya can sign up right there.

According to the offical rules sheet, looks like 8-9am is the first hour to weigh in. Here's a link to the official rules.

http://www.anglerspress.com/resources/p ... eRules.pdf

I fished the Berkley Big Bass Challenge the past two years and had an absolute blast. Sorry to see Berkley is no longer the sponsor but I'm excited to have Yamamoto Baits taking their place. I'm really looking foward to fishing in this tournament. I'll be fishing with a friend and my 9 year old son.

I emailed Vince at Anglers Press regarding baits this year. Here is what he told me.

Hardbaits may be scarce in the stores. You can order them online including spinnerbaits, buzzbaits and topwater baits. If you order them soon, you should have them before the tournament. Plastics you should be able to find anywhere.

I'm guessing The Hook will be open both days to sell what they have in stock too.

See everyone in June!

Nipples and others: Tournament discussion is fine in the main forum. Tournament announcements by the organizations (unless they are WesternBass.com site sponsors) are to be posted in the Tournament forums by region. Those regional posts will then populate to the catch all tournament forum.
