Fellow Angler In Need Of Prayers

Post by WON BASSIN »

Just got a call this morning, and am on my way to the hospital to visit Dennis Saike. Dennis Saike is a local So Cal angler who has been fishing tournaments for many years. He and his family were out for an evening drive, when they were apparently side swiped by another car. Dennis Saike suffered a broken neck, and is currently in recovery. He has feelings in all extremeties, but is not out of the woods yet. Please send your prayers and well wishes for him and his family for a speedy and full recovery!

From what I understand he was the only passenger that was injured during the accident!

@Pete - He is currently at Mission Hospital, in Mission Viejo!

Just left the hospital. Talked with his wife for a bit, and the family is well. She is a bit bruised up and sore but is holding the family together. Dennis was resting when I stopped by, and I am told that he is fighting the fight. His wife said that guests are welcome, and she mentioned that Dennis would love to see and hear from all of his friends. He has a long fight ahead of him, but I am sure he will be back on the deck as soon as he can. There will be a fundraiser or fund set up at some point for support for the family, as both he and his wife are out of work, and will need support and prayers. As soon as we have more information, we will share it with you, and where donations can be sent.
