miller weights
Just wanted to know who has actually used em. Any pros cons or what not tips or what ever would be appreciated.
Re: miller weights
I use them all of the time – it takes the work out of punching. You don’t have to throw it up to 20 to 30 feet in the air. Just lay in on the mat, bring the tip of your rod up and shake – the bait will follow the weight through the mat.

Just got a green 2ounce one and im kinda excited to try it.

I use them all the time when punching. Best tip is to watch the True Bass episode with Chris Raza that Wayne mentioned in an earlier thread - Chris explains and demonstrates it perfectly.
Great innovation for sure.

Re: miller weights
Absolutely worth the money and fishing them on 80# braid I have yet to lose one. I will say this...when you swing and miss and cause one of those 1.5 ounce pointed weights to come flying back over the boat you're going to want to keep an eye on your partner. I haven't had it happen with anyone else in my boat, but twice I've blown one back across the hull where it would surely have been a problem if I would have hit someone.

I concur, they're the best weight I've found for getting thru the thick mats.

When your fishin the really thick stuff the Miller Punchin Weight is the ticket, use the lightest one you can for the matts your flippin. I also use a long shank 7/0 Owner Hook, you want the longer hook to keep the bait away from the weight plus it allows the set-up to slip through the weeds and matts better.....
