PONDEROSA RESERVOIR

Has anyone ever fished Ponderosa Reservoir? Since it is so close to South Fork of Oroville, thought I would Google it and see what I can find before going in. Have conflicting reports that there are smallies in there while some of the oldtimers in the area say there is nothing but white fish in the lake and to not waste my time. Hard to believe there are no bass since it feeds Oroville and I have never caught a white fish in that area or anywhere on Oroville. Wondering if there is a usable launch or fees or whatever info I can get. Thanks for any input.
