Sonny Reynolds

Post by Gene Buchholz »

For those of you that remember Sonny and Sharon from the old Redman Trail I got a call from Sharon on Sunday.
Sonny had a tumor that they removed and is not doing very well. He is at home in Kentucky but is unable to talk or do anything. They didn't say how much time he has.

Sorry to hear that. Sonny ran some great tournaments out here. Our prayers are with him and Sharon. Thank you for the update Gene.

I had heard this yesterday. Sad to hear this. Sonny is a great tournament director. Seems like just yesterday I was fishing Redman. Now look at it

Sonny is the epitome of "one of the good guys" in tournament bass fishing. I'll never forget the smile and enthusiasm on his face as he handed me my first Red Man Spitoon, he was more excited for me than I was. "Ya worked hard and earned it man, no go get another one!"

My thoughts and prayers are with ya Sonny, kick this thing man!

Got news this morning that Sonny has passed. God Speed my friend. You were one of the best TD's I had the pleasure of meeting. Sad day.

Very sad news indeed. Sonny was a top notch TD and along with Dan Grimes and Roger Dyer these guys were very helpful to me in my earlier days of bass fishing and will never be forgotten. Prayers go out to his family and friends...he will surely be missed. RIP Sonny.
