Our anglers were greeted at Lake Cachuma by Wind, Rain, Hail and a chilly 39 degree morning.
6 Hard core Bass fishing Teams showed up prepared to do Battle against Mother Nature and catch some Bass. All our Teams weighed in limits at the scales despite the weather.Steve Morris and Adam Koda fished with PowerTeam Lures Texas Rigged Jigs and Tubes and brought in a nice limit of LMB weighing 12.68 good enough to take home 3rd place trophies.
Father and Son Team Larry and Jason Marquez showed they could overcome the nasty weather conditions and remain consistent. They threw swim jigs for their best 5 fish and finished in the money once again weighing in an impressive 12.71. They took 2nd place for $130 and 2nd place plaques.
Tony Vultaggio and Jeff Perry are no strangers to winning tournaments at Lake Cachuma. They are last years AOY team and showed they are here to defend their title. Their fishing techniques remain a mystery to me but maybe they will post what they were using to catch their winning limit.
