USAC AZ Region Results Lake Havasu 3-17-12

Congratulations to Justin Patti and Dustin Robinson for winning the USAC AZ Region Anglers Choice at Lake Havasu today. Justin and Dustin swept the tournament with a total weight of 21.71lbs and a big fish of 6.45. For the sweep the two took home $1985 and a pair of Power Tackle rods with a retail value of $300 each. Second place went to Clay Lippincott and Shawn Carnahan with a total weight of 20.59lbs. The two took home $1025. Rounding out the top 3 were the father and son team of Shane Moline and Tyler Moline. Shane and Tyle weighed a limit that went 20.41lbs good for $560.

Justin Patti and Dustin Robinson took over the Arizona Components Company Angler of the Year race. They currently hold approximately an 18 point lead with two tournaments left to go.

Just got back from Havasu today with my dad for fun fishing. We fished Saturday the day of this tournament and only put 3 bed fish in the boat. Can someone tell me what the winners did? Did they bed fish, points, etc? And what did they use. I don't fish Havasu often but would like some feedback. I'm not new to bass fishing but had a real hard day that day. Thanks

Most everyone bed fished in this tournament. Baits all varied as everyone likes something different for site fishing. Most of these guys had a couple days of practice to pinpoint their fish also so when the wind picked up they new where their fish were.

I thank you Justin for your info. That's what we did was bed fish but only small males and only put 3 in the boat that day. I think I am not use to heavy wind and could not see the beds. Thanks again
