Hummimngbird 898 SI
I have ordered a new 898si for the bow of my Ranger and am not sure where to mount the transducer. The trolling motor would most convenient but I am not sure how this would affect side imaging when the motor is being rotated. I would also prefer to keep the transducer as close to the front of the boat as possible, so I can see my line drop on the screen. Where would you recommend mounting the transducer for the bow of the boat....thanks Ron

Re: Hummimngbird 898 SI
I run my SI on the bow from the Trolling Motor and love it. I can turn it to look under docks and all around me. I use the www.transducershieldandsaver.com product to mount and protect the transducer.
Here's an image from my TM mounted SI you can see where I turned it to catch the fish hiding behind the double stump
