J & T tackle of Simi Valley closes.
I went by today and saw that they had closed their doors and where going out of business. It’s a sad day. I wish them all well.

This is the first I have heard of this.
I have been trying to get a hold of Ted for the last couple weeks.
Guess he just did not want to tell me he was closing the doors.

This economy is really tuff on the small family owned stores.
I wish him well, in his future ventures.

Ted and Anne have always been great supporters of Castaic Bass Club, and bass fishing in general, and we all hope things work out for them.
I still remember the first time I walked into their store. I thought I'd died and gone to bass tackle heaven.
And I remember the seminars Ron Cervanka held there, back in the day. Good times.
The rise of the Internet, and online tackle stores, has been the death knell for a lot of small stores, and it looks like it has claimed J&T as well.
Ted and Anne deserve better.
Good luck to them in the future.

On line shopping is a major problem to brick & motar businesses like J & T Tackle. Without the support of anglers, mon & pop tackle shops will a thing of the past and we have only ourselves to blame.
Local tackle shops are a place where bass anglers come to touch and feel tackle, chat and share fishing stories and this a big part of the sport. J & T will be missed and so will the generosity of the owners Ted and Anne.

Check out Fish n' Fools, Granada Hills. Good bass shop and some of the J & T staff and folks show up there.

if you are in the Santa Clarita area, check out Tackle express, Chad has a real nice store with a lot of top quality product-kinda like a slightly smaller version of JT...

guys dont forget action tackle in mission hills, right near the 5 / 405 split.. they have completly remodled the store.. and have all the goodies.. lets try and keep the few mom and pop shops in business.. the guys at action tackle are great, and they also give discounts to all the local bass clubs..
