I have always said.... When you show a pic of a big fish the 1st thing said is NOT nice one, thats a big fish or anything like that. They ask "Where is that at?" Thanks for proving me wrong by saying "Nice" 1stbirdi23nls wrote:Nice...where at?

Re: Showin off my new big girl
Increible if the other three totaled 27 lbs. that's a 9 lb average on fish not in the photo. This picture is great but the limit is insane.

Re: Showin off my new big girl
First off sweet fish!!! Not to stir the pot but a serious question. It doesn't sound like this was a tournament (if it was then that explains it) so unless u caught them at the same time on an a-rig why would you put a pregnant 10 or 15 pounder in ur live well until u caught another toad or ur limit. Granted its not hot like the summer but why not take the pic of the solo beast and set her loose? Again I'm not trying to start crap just curious.

Re: Showin off my new big girl
You kind of open a new can of worms here. I mean so you are saying because of a few bucks it's ok to keep um in a well for 7+ hours because you're in a tourney? Now I'm not trying to upset anyone but you should talk to them 1st, right? They even take them off of visible beds. So no I don't see the point really.ScottyJ wrote:First off sweet fish!!! I'm not picking them off a bed, they are in groups when caught (all fish on same spot). I'm not big on the Gambling to catch fish. I do however love to catch them. The 9.9 was in the well for I would say no more then maybe 30 mins tops, then the 14.9 was caught and a few casts later set up to video the release. That is taking far better of care of the fish then most. The 1st 3 fish (two 7's and a 8 ) were caught two hours before in about 45 mins time and were set free together also. I keep them in the well to keep the bite alive for the short time that it happens. I did not hold all 5 in the well. However I had a good numbers day and was culling just like a tourney but that's because the bit was real good but as soon as it dies take pics or video and set them free. Have you ever done pics or video by tour self? you need to well them to get ready
I don't really fish for anything but big ones and I'm taking good care
They are fine and well taken care of

BassinDon,
I just wanted to say that I always look forward to seeing the pics of your catches.
And, I'm always certain that your attention to the care and release of those monsters you catch is far and above the care that most of us take.
Please don't ever let the haters keep you from posting on here because the vast majority of us appreciate what you do and how you do it.
Thanks,
- Wolfeman

A lot of guys know Don and know he takes care of his fish. When you fish for fish like these you care about their well being. Nice catch Don congrats.ScottyJ wrote:First off sweet fish!!! True dat, heck Don dissapeared from public eye for a while - known big fish getter and gets much of my respect. Congrants Don where did you catch em, what on, did they taste good - can you send me the GPS - do you fish with trout - (DID I MISS ANY COMMENTS that you typically get??) Thanks again for sharing bro!biteme wrote:A lot of guys know Don and know he takes care of his fish. When you fish for fish like these you care about their well being.
