WON Team at Lake Otay 5/12/12

Post by JJCJR »

WON San Diego Teams Go To Lake Otay this Weekend.

The May WON Bass San Diego team event will take place this Saturday, May 12th at Lower Otay. The gates will open between 5:05 and 5:15am. The Water Level is high and Water temp. ranges from 71 to 73.

Great fishing has been experienced at all the San Diego City lakes this season. Don't miss out on not only the fantastic fishing, but the chance to fish in a first class event with WON Bass teams with a big time fish-off at Lake Mead come September.

There are a few ways to enter this Saturday's event. You can fax us your entry (619 463 4050), phone in your entry (619 466 8355) or drop by Angler's Arsenal in La Mesa and enter in person. If you don't have an entry form, call us at the above number and we'll get one faxed out to you. WON Bass San Diego accepts cash, checks and all major credit cards. Enter before 6pm Friday, May 11th and get in the drawing for blast-off positions. You can enter at the lake the morning of the event, but your team will take off in order of entry after the last predrawn teams have taken off.

As a note please feel free to "have-at-it" with the best A-rigs you can put together. We allow teams to fishing these rigs in our WON San Diego region tournaments as long as you use a rig that is California DFG legal. For further information on this event call Tournament Director John Cassidy 619 466 8355.

Congratulations to Chuck Miller and Geoff Pierce for taking 1st place honors at Lake Otay this last Saturday. Their five bass limit went 19.02lbs

Second place was pulled down by Stan Hendrix and Aaron Seay with a five bass limit that went 14.02lbs.

Third place finishers were Bob Palashewski and Dennis Kolender fishing WON Bass San Diego for the first time this year with five bass that went 11.72lbs.

There were some swimbait fish caught early in the morning, but after that drop shot, Senkos and jigs in the flooded tullies were the main patters.

The next WON Bass event for San Diego is scheduled for June 9th at Lake El Capitan. See you there.
