Hot Foot Install

Post by cruizer »

Has anybody installed a Hot Foot themselves. I want to put one in my boat myself. Any help would be welcomed.

Go to bassboat central web site-main forum and look under super tips, then sherms tips, tells all about hotfoot install. I'm getting ready to install one myself. Good luck!

It's pretty easy, just kinda hard to put the saw to your deck if you aren't sure what is under there. I marked the approximate placement with tape and then carefully drilled a 1" hole in the middle of my template, it looked good so I widened it with a dremel until i could see there was nothing in the way. I would undercut the dimensions a little and allow some room to tuck carpet, then widen as need for a good fit.

Isn't a hot foot held down with 4 screws and a saw isn't needed ?? A saw would be needed if installing a foot control box where you would have to cut a hole with a saw.
