I tie my frog directly to the braid because you are usually throwing them over/in dense weeds. Once a fish grabs it, it will take the frog down into the weeds and you'll have to pull the fish out of the weeds. 50 or 65 lb braid will cut the weeds and will typically not break. There's a good chance the flouro leader will break when you are trying to pull through the weeds -- you'll lose the fish and the frog.
Re: frog fishing: braid question
64lb braid and REALLY like the Suffix 382 over Power Pro- strait up no leader - the line floats which is a positive, no stretch, positive, cuts the grass and allows you to button down the drag with vice grips to get that big momma out of the slop and into the boat. Even in clear water and open water froggin, braid strait to the frog.

Braid all the way! Like everybody else said. I used to use leaders for flip and pitch, now i use strait braid on those as well after breaking off a few fish.
