Judging from the junk in the background, I would be very careful. Just sayin'.

Man some of your are tripping. You know stolen boats get found. When they do they go to auction. Who buys these boats? Most of the time people that buy stuff from auctions. The Bass Cat I just bought looked like this. The guy had all kinds of stuff. Guess where he got it from?
I understand with a few boats that have gone missing everyone is on high alert. That said not everyone is a thief. Some buy this stuff to turn a profit.

Isn't he just selling the "extended deck"?

If you look at the side of the boat it looks like the boat was in a fire. And by the sounds of it, it seems he is just selling the deck.

If I needed what he has I would go look. If its not right call cops. You gotta give the man a chance if he bought it at auction hes just trying to make a buck. It would be bad to be the one to screw his busness up over a picture.

And it may be a stripped stolen boat HE bought at auction.

Your Right Rod that is exactly what a stripped boat looks like. but that does not mean he is guilty of it because it looks like it. If you are interested check it out ask questions if you think it is still a stolen boat report let the authorities deal with it.

looks like a restoration project to me. If you notice all the parts were removed carfully as to not damage the boat.
Not eveyone has money to buy a new boat.

The guy in manteca has been selling boat parts for quite awhile now on craigslist. I bought some steering cables from him a couple years ago.

I don't think a thief would actually set himself up like this. The guy is probably a pack rat and is just selling the deck or what ever he can scrounge off it.
Yeah, that's fire damage. Check out the warpage from heat on the wind shield.

I once looked at a theft recovery stolen stripped boat, just to keep as a dock boat to fish off of in a marina that would let me keep it there. The guy got his boat back, and was looking to sell what was left of it.
