Lowrance HDS SERIES

Post by CN »

Are they worth the investment and which one do you suggest. Are they as complicated as they seem, not a tech guy at all. I like the concept of being able to side scan since I do alot of Striper fishing also at San Luis and San Antonio and thought it would be good for locating suspended schools. I do bass fish more and cant convince myself that much of an investment would be worth it. I still have an old x85 that came with the boat from Ranger.

Merry Christmas.

The only problem with them is that they are so much fun to use that it cuts into your fishing time!

Absolutely!!! I got an HDS 7 Gen 2 when the new they first came out, biggest one that would flush mount at my console. I don't use every feature every time I'm out, but I think the structure mapping and overlay is the best feature. Cruise around and really get a feeling for what's down there.
